In a recreation of times gone by, we took our 1962 AEC Bridgemaster, YJG 807, to stand on its original terminus stop at St. Radigans on route 129, not too many months after we took ownership of her.
Probably the last time it would have been able to get there as the railway bridge under which it had to pass has since been reduced in height with iron girders to prevent further collisions by over-height lorries.
The vehicle standing behind '807' is the 1970 AEC Swift, VJG 187J. This vehicle passed out of our hands for a few years only to stand in a field rotting until its rescue recently, and she is now back with us at Friends of the East Kent's garage.
